I arrived in Maui about 8:45 last night blurry eye, stiff and sore. A 6 hour flight from Vancouver is tough.
It was real nice to be greeted by familiar friends. Cliff and Cheryl Reynolds have stayed with us in Loon Lake Saskatchewan and are now helping Haggai-Institute organize the volunteers.
They introduced me to Chuck and Norma Bellenger who took me out for breakfast. They had prayer with me and prayed for a real blessing from God while I work and fellowship here at Haggai-Institute.
They are from Victoria now but spent most of their lives in the Turtleford/Glaslyn area. Most of the Volunteers are from Saskatchewan.
Tomorrow I'll be eating breakfast about 7:00 and then attend church at 8:30. Everything starts early on this island so that you can go to the beach and enjoy some of the day in the sun. I think I'll try swimming in the ocean tomorrow.
Tonight at supper I met some of the participants who are here for studies. They are from the Philippians and hold important jobs. A doctor, and school principal and a self employed travel agent. The session for the next 3 weeks is just for ladies. There will be over 60 ladies in this session learning how to share the gospel in their own country and how to help their people grow as Christians.
